HISI 16th Annual Conference (2011)

The 16th Annual Conference and Scientific Symposium, Ireland's premier healthcare informatics event will take place on the 16th - 17th November 2011 in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Stillorgan Road, Co. Dublin.

This year's HISI Conference and Scientific Symposium will reflect current developments in healthcare computing, associated technologies and communications infrastructures within Ireland and in the wider international context.

This conference is recognised for providing a significant contribution to the development and understanding of information and its associated technologies in the delivery of healthcare. It is the focal point for those interested in Healthcare Informatics in Ireland to network with their peers and learn about the latest developments in Healthcare ICT. As HISI has members in the sections of the Irish Computer Society (ICS) and the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland (RAMI) the conference also crosses all boundaries of clinical, paramedical, management, administration and IT technical groups.

Papers and Poster Presentations of either a general or specialised nature will be considered. Guidelines for submissions can be found on www.hisi.ie.

International Conference & Exhibition for ICT Solutions in the health Sector

EHEALTHeHealth 2008 Conference: 'eHealth Without Frontiers'

 

5th May 2008: Portoroz, Slovenia

EuroRec have organised a pre-conference workshop for the 5th of May to present the results of the Q-REC project. The workshop is titled 'Quality Labelling and Certification of Electronic Health Record Systems in Europe'. A group of internationally acknowledged experts in the field of EHR's will explain the current status of the Quality and Certification of EHR Systems in Europe.

6th - 8th May 2008: Slovenia

The conference will focus mostly on the topics which contribute to connecting eHealth tools and users. The exhibition will show eHealth solutions of EU Member States, Slovenian and other EU countries eHealth industry.

The programme will focus mostly on topics which contribute to connecting eHealth tools and users:

  • between places, cities, regions and countries and
  • between all players in healthcare (citizens, patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare providers, health insurance providers, public health actors, educational and research institutions, and public authorities)

    The conference aims:

  • to demonstrate opportunities, achievements and challenges of the implementation of electronic healthcare, and
  • To define as clearly as possible future directions for the further development of eHealth in Europe

    On May the 5th satellite conferences and events such as national eHealth conference and events will be organised by European associations and projects.

The International Society for Quality in Healthcare

19 - 22 October: Copenhagen, Denmark.

ISQua's international conferences provide a stimulating 'must attend' annual forum with exchange of information and updates on practice and policy development. Delegates include national health policy leaders and decision-makers, researchers, healthcare professionals in all disciplines, administrators, clinical organisations, standards and accreditation organizations, healthcare networks, providers and consumer organizations.

Each year the conference is held in a different city in the world in association with governments and other key organizations . In the past ten or so years, ISQua international conferences have been held in: 1996 Jerusalem, 1997 Chicago, 1998 Budapest, 1999 Melbourne, 2000 Dublin, 2001 Buenos Aires, 2002 Paris, 2003 Dallas. 2004 Amsterdam, 2005 Vancouver, 2006 London and Boston in 2007.  ISQua is now planning for Copenhagen from 19 - 22 October, 2008.  To receive updates on programs and special events, contact ISQua.

ISQua's 2008 Copenhagen Planning and Program Committee is now calling for abstracts for a three-day scientific meeting. Closing date for abstracts is the 1st of March 2008.

Call for Papers

The organizers of the World of Health IT 2008 Conference & Exhibition welcome you to the Call for Papers Proposal Submission Site. As a proposal submitter, your proposal will be reviewed and considered for possible program selection for the World of Health IT 2008 Conference & Exhibition. The majority of proposals selected will come from the region and geographic focus for the conference. Only a few selected proposals will be accepted or invited from outside the region.

This unique event is designed to connect leading health information and communication technology experts from Europe and beyond in educational sessions, vendor exhibitions, interoperability demonstrations, exchange of experiences and networking sessions, and other professional development opportunities.

Because the adoption of IT in healthcare is a global initiative - one that affects the healthcare community throughout the world - this conference will focus on the role and impact Health IT has on the health sector in Europe and other parts of the world, including the Middle East and Africa. The educational sessions will primarily address experiences from deployed services, and focus on proven benefits in quality and efficiency.
